VP12S4 High Definition DLPTM Projector
The latest in our VP12 series just might be the last word in home theater DLP projectors. If you haven’t seen it, you’ll never know just how good a Marantz projector can be.
- 1-chip DLPTMProjector
- .8 720p DarkChip3TM DMD
- 4500 : 1 Contrast ratio
- GENNUM GF9350 VXPTM video Processing
- Custom Optics by Konica-Minolta
- Wider vertical Lens Shift Range
Can anything be better than earlier projectors in our VP12S series? We think you’ll find the VP12S4 simply jaw-dropping. We began with the newest “Dark Chip 3” version of Texas Instruments’ DLP processor augmented by a seven-segment color wheel for minimal pixelization and better dither and video noise reduction. We added a new lens to the already legendary array of Konica-Minolta optics. And we improved flexibility by increasing vertical lens shift adjustments to allow more flexible mounting. But the crowning achievement is a completely new video processing engine co-developed by Marantz and Gennum. It is the most powerful video processor ever included in a consumer or professional video display device and offers true motion adaptive deinterlacing of all non-progressive sources – HD included – with inverse telecine (3:2 pulldown), jagged edge reduction circuitry, true 10 bit color depth (over 1 billion colors!) and a new level of installer flexibility. Until you’ve seen the VP12S4’s smoothness and film-like realism, you simply aren’t equipped to select a video projector.
VP10S1 Three-Chip DLPTM Projector
A legend in its own time? That’s an understatement. This DLP projector just might make the projectionist at your local cineplex quit in frustration.
- 3-chips DLPTM Projector
- HD2 "Mustang" DMD
- 3600 : 1 Contrast Ratio
- Faroudja DCDi® Video Processing
- Marantz Custom Optics
- Motorized projection Lenses
This is the already-legendary VP-10S1. It combines a proven 3-chip DLP® engine with Marantz expertise in video projector design for images that truly must be experienced. The VP-10S1’s 3-chip approach was formerly reserved for the most advanced digital cinema projectors. Using a separate device for each primary color, the VP10S1 is also smaller and lighter than other so-called competitors. Faroudja video processing eliminates the jagged edges that occasionally mar large moving images. Saturated colors more closely emulate film than with almost all other video projectors. Black levels approach those found only in the void of deep space. And the VP10S1 throws enough light to illuminate even the largest screens. And, because the VP10S1 uses the 3-chip DLP approach, it’s quiet enough for even the most demanding environments.
